Life in COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown #positivityinlockdown

Dear Reader,

COVID -19 pandemic is the life changing situation in all over the world. Things have been changed now, social distancing, mask, sanitizer are the part of our life now. Corona came with deadly effect on human beings but it was the boon for our mother earth. The nature gets time to nourish, rejuvenate, and heal herself. It’s more than 84 days of lock down and you must have seen the difference in the nature, now we can hear birds chirping, rivers water got cleaned up on its own, more stars in the sky and silence in the environment.

Restrictions in lock down are the measures for protecting us from Corona and aware us from the situations and precautions we need to take care. This lock down affected me in both positive and negative way. I came across with physical changes, mental changes, emotional changes and professional changes.

Physical Changes: During these days I have put on my weight, my eyesight got poor, now suffering tendinitis in shoulder and arm. Staying in the home for long time caused of my acrimony.

Mental changes: When the changes improve your personality then automatically  it changes into your habit. Walk on roof during dusk and dawn energize me to think positively. It also helps me in reducing my weight. I got good sign in my irritating nature. All these things increased my self-confidence. Now I am taking my daily task a bit seriously. I also appreciate my self whenever I complete a single task. I must say I had developed self-love.

Emotional Changes: This period is like a boon for relationship. I have used this time to spend quality time with my husband and my child. We all played lots of indoor games, cook food and read stories together.  I have given enough time to my parents also, early morning tea, gup-shup and old memories. We saw my childhood albums, my mom and father’s marriage album. We all get an emotional healing where we shared and had a long hour talk etc. Every member in my family spread #positivityinlockdown in the house. Not even a single day we quarrelled or criticize anyone. This has improved the aura of our house.

Professional Changes: I am in teaching so as per CBSE, all teachers need to take classes online. This was the toughest time for all teachers, teachers are not that tech-savvy. So, I need to study and learn the things first in terms of technology and then took classes. Teaching online is not an easy task for me, I had spent many hours on computer for this purpose. #WorkingFromHome is totally not suitable for me.

Finally, I want to say lock down period has unlocked our mind. We get the chance to learn and observe the things deeply. Sometimes, I just sat in my balcony and spent time with myself.  I want to analyse myself, I want to correct my self, my deep thoughts opened up my mind for myself. At the end, I want to say we all should utilize this time to understand the things and to learn the new way of living in the world. A high tide of Corona Pandemic hit the shore of world where we lost lots of souls and the full Earth got this virus infection.

  2. Lockdown certainly has rejuvenated nature. Not only one can see the mighty Himalayas from Jalandhar and Saharanpur, many of us city dwellers never paid attention to so many birds chirping all around us. As humans mend their activity, nature comes right back. I guess we learn something from the lockdown and give nature a break.

  3. It has been a change for sure and we are adjusting just because we do not have any experience of this situation before. I guess it will open up lot of new innovative ways to do things differently.i agree also that online teaching is a little difficult than normal classroom mode. I am sure things will improve.
